Abstract: Cabai merupakan salah satu sayuran terpenting di Indonesia. Kebutuhan cabai meningkat setiap tahunnya, sehingga perlu adanya perbaikan kualitas dan produktivitas cabai. Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji daya hasil dan mengevaluasi keragaan tujuh galur harapan cabai keriting IPB. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan percobaan kelompok lengkap teracak (RKLT) faktor tunggal yaitu genotipe. Penelitian ini menggunakan sebanyak tujuh galur harapan cabai keriting dan tiga varietas pembanding komersial diulang sebanyak tiga kali ulangan sehingga terdapat 30 satuan percobaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa genotipe cabai keriting memiliki pengaruh yang nyata terhadap seluruh karakter kuantitatif kecuali umur berbunga dan persentase hidup. Galur G1 (15,55 ton ha-1 ), G2 (15,82 ton ha-1 ), G3 (13,99 ton ha-1 ), G4 (14,79 ton ha-1 ), G5 (19,08 ton ha-1 ), dan SSP (14,75 ton ha-1 ) memiliki produktivitas nyata lebih tinggi dibandingkan varietas pembanding. Galur G1 (81 HST), G2 (81 HST), G3 (86 HST), G4 (81 HST), G5 (79 HST), F6 110005-9-6 (78 HST), dan SSP (80 HST) memiliki umur yang lebih genjah dibandingkan varietas komersial. Pendaftaran untuk varietas komersialisasi potensial dilakukan pada galur harapan G1, G2, G3, G4, dan G5, karena memiliki keunggulan berupa daya hasil dan keragaan yang berbeda dengan varietas pembanding komersial.
Chili is one of the most important vegetables in Indonesia. The need for chili increases every year, so it is necessary to improve the quality and productivity of chili. This study aims to test the yield and evaluate the performance of seven promising lines of curly chili IPB. This study used a randomized complete group experimental design with a single factor, namely genotype. This study used seven promising curly chili lines and three commercial comparison varieties, repeated three times so that there were 30 experimental units. The results showed that the curly chili genotype had a significant effect on all quantitative characters except flowering age and live percentage. Lines G1 (15,55 ton ha-1 ), G2 (15,82 ton ha-1 ), G3 (13,99 ton ha-1 ), G4 (14,79 ton ha-1 ), G5 (19,08 ton ha-1 ), and SSP (14,75 ton ha-1 ) had significantly higher productivity than the comparison varieties. The lines G1 (81 DAP), G2 (81 DAP), G3 (86 DAP), G4 (81 DAP), G5 (79 DAP), F6 110005- 9-6 (78 DAP), and CNS (80 DAP) had a lifespan of which are more mature than commercial varieties. Registration for potential commercialized varieties was carried out on the promising lines G1, G2, G3, G4, and G5, because they had advantages in terms of yield and performance that were different from commercial comparison varieties.
