Lower strata vegetation plays an important role in influencing the erosion. Erosion can affect soil infiltration and water content. This study aims to determine the dynamics of groundwater in the level of land slope and its effect on the performance of palm oil plants. This research was conducted at Cikabayan Palm Oil Plantation, IPB University, Dramaga. The plants observed were matur plants (TM 8) from tenera type on March – May 2021. This research using 5 levels of land slope, namely 0-3%, 3-8%, 8-13%, 14-20%, and 20-25% with 5 replications each. The results showed that there were 35 types of weeds consisting of 28 broad leaved, 5 grasses and 2 sedges. Soil moisture content in Cikabayan oil palm plantations was not significantly different at various levels of land slope, and the performance of oil palm plantations was also not significantly different at various levels of land slope.
