The aims of this research were to study the genetic relationships, effective population size and the rate ofinbreeding per generation of sheep populations in Kisar Island by morphometric approach. A total of 231sheep was used in this study. The sheep were collected from the areas within the Kisar Island i.e. Purpura
(77 heads), Nowuru (59 heads) and Oirata (95 heads) subpopulation. The variables observed were bodyweight and body measurements, real population size, effective population size, and the rate of inbreeding pergeneration. The data were analyzed using canonical discriminant function and phylogeny analysis with UPGMA method. The result of genetic relationships analysis indicated that the formation of subpopulationof sheep in Kisar Island has not been formed. The other result obtained that the effective population size of sheep in Kisar Island were 362 heads, with the rate of inbreeding per generation were 0.13 percents. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari hubungan genetik, ukuran populasi efektif dan laju silang dalamper genarasi dari populasi domba di pulau Kisar. Sebanyak 231 domba digunakan dalam penelitian ini.Domba dikoleksi dari beberapa lokasi dalam pulau Kisar meliputi subpopulasi Purpura (77 ekor), Nowuru (59 ekor) dan Oirata (95 ekor). Peubah yang diamati adalah bobot badan dan ukuran-ukuran tubuh, ukuran populasi nyata, ukuran populasi efektif dan laju silang dalam per generasi. Data dianalisis menggunakanfungsi dikriminan kanonik dan analisis filogeni dengan metode UPGMA. Hasil analisis hubungan genetik
menunjukkan bahwa pembentukan subpopulasi domba di pulau Kisar belum terjadi. Hasil lain yang diperolehbahwa ukuran populasi efektif domba di pulau Kisar adalah 362 ekor, dengan laju silang dalam per generasi 0,13 persen
