      Abstract
      Bovine leucocyte adhesion deficiency (BLAD) or granulocitophaty is a genetic disease of dairy cow caused by mutation on the exon point 2 of CD18 gene so that heterodimer β2 integrin molecule failled to present on the neutrophyl surface at the case of homozygote recessive gene. This case caused a lethal death. This study was aimed to identify BLAD heterozygote on Friesian Holstein offsprings in Baturraden and Lembang. Detection method using PCR-RFLP was employed in this study since this particular method is accurate in detecting BLAD heterozygote. Two out of 20 cows with BLAD heterozygote were found in Lembang (from 61 cows). It is concluded that there is only 2.4% case of BLAD heterozygote found in Indonesia
       
      Bovine leukocyte adhesion deficiency (BLAD) atau sindrom granulositopati adalah penyakit genetik pada sapi yang disebabkan oleh kejadian mutasi titik pada ekson 2 gen CD18 sehingga tidak mengekspresikan molekul heterodimer β2 integrin yang seharusnya ada di permukaan neutrofil. Pada kondisi homozigot resesif, mutasi ini menyebabkan lethal atau mati dini pada sapi. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengidentifikasi sapi-sapi pembawa alel BLAD (heterozigot) pada sapi-sapi perah peranakan Holstein yang ada di Baturaden dan Lembang menggunakan metode deteksi PCR-RFLP. Metode identifikasi berdasarkan PCR-RFLP adalah metode yang handal untuk mendeteksi keberadaan sapi heterozigot BLAD. Sapi heterozigot BLAD hanya ditemukan 2 ekor di Baturaden dari 20 sapi yang dianalisis, sedangkan pada sapi di Lembang (61 ekor) tidak ditemukan adanya alel BLAD. Disimpulkan, frekuensi sapi heterozigot BLAD di Indonesia sebesar 2,4%
