dc.description.abstractIn poultry diet formulation, the sources of energy and protein mostly come from plants which generally have high fiber content. Mandalung (mule duck) is one of the domesticated animals that has an ability to utilize such low quality feedstuffs. Vitamin E plays an important roles in biology activities for human vital organs. Vitamin E supplementation could improve laying hen performances . The objective of this study is to investigate the capability of mandalung in utilizing high fiber diets which were combined with vitamin E supplementation . The study was conducted for six weeks using 24 week old female mandalung ducks. Treatment diets were formulated in isocaloric and isonitrogenous with three levels of ADF, 5, 20, and 35% and two levels ofvitamin E supplementation, 20 and 40 ppm. Six ducks were fed with commercial diets as a control. Statistical analysis were carried out according to completely random design procedures. The study showed that there was no negative effect on the performances when fed the animals with 5% of ADFid
