Abstract - Juice from corn silage has been shown to inhibit the growth of Salmonella spp and E.coli from digestive tract of animals. The aim of this study was to assess the response of broilers to drinking water containing silage juice with special reference on the aspects of feed and water intake, feed efficiency, blood profiles and mortality. 200 broiler age a week were divided into 20 groups and given one of four treatments, namely: P0 = Control diet + control drinking water; P1 = Diet containing Zinc Bacitracin + Control drinking water; P2= Control diet + drinking water containing 0,2% silage juice; and P3 = Control diet + drinking water containing 0,4% silage juice. Feed and water were given ad libitum. Data from a completely randomized design were analyzed of variance (ANOVA). The results showed that feed and water intake, feed efficiency and blood profiles of chicken were no different for all treatments. However, the rate of body weight gain, final body weight and mortality of chickens that received antibiotic and silage juice treatment have a tendency better than the untreated control chickens. It is concluded that chickens respond positively to the addition of silage juice in drinking water with a value of body weight gain and mortality were comparable to chickens fed diets containing zinc bacitracin.id
