The modified minimal model of glucose and insulin plasma levels .is common I y us~~ d to analyze the res· ults of glucose tolerance. .t ests 111 humans. In this paper. a mathematical model for dcscnh111g the lucose infusion rate is introduced. The modified minimal model was ~sed to study a few sets of published data including healthy humans and type 2 diabetes. The gluc0se-i nsulin system is a dynamic integrated physiological system and gcneratcs the rcal opt11m~ed model parameters from the experimental data using the 111od1hed m1·1 1·1 1na 1 mod c·1 . ·1·hc avcra,o, ed R~ va lue between measured and calculated plasma concentrations is 0.977. which indicates excellent agreement.en
