VARIABILITAS SUHU DAN ARUS PADA LAPISAN TERMOKLIN SELAT MAKASSAR DARI DATA MOORING INSTANT
Abstract
Data collected as part of the INSTANT program from July 2005 to November 2006 are analyzed to study the variability of temperature and velocity in thermocline layer of the Makassar Strait. Analysis of temperature time series of SBE-39 and current of ADCP long ranger75 KHz moored at Labani Channel, show the variability of temperature and velocity in the thermocline layer is highly related to semi-annual and annual variation while seasonal variation may influence indirectly. The main thermocline layer around 150 m is more dynamic compared to deeper layer (255 m) which showed by fluctuated-temperature profiles in time domain and also more energy fluctuations in frequency domain
