Essential micro-mineral such as Fe, Zn, Cu, and Se are important mineral for the physiology function. Non-essential micro-mineral such as Pb, Cd, Hg, and As, which are known as heavy metal component, have a risk to be toxic elements. The objectives of this study were (1) to analyze correlation between Pb, Cd, Hg, and As level in serum with nutrients intake (protein, vitamin C, Ca, Zn, and Fe) by agro-ecology; (2) to analyze correlation between Pb, Cd, Hg, and As with Fe, Zn, Cu, and Se level in serum; and (3) to analyze serum status of Pb, Cd, Hg, and As of Timika local community by agro-ecology, The study was used secondary data from previous research entitled "Study on Food Consumption and Biomarkers in 10 Vii/ages around PT Freepor1lndonesia (PTFI) Project~ carried out by IPB, UNCEN, PTFI and Parametric-USA team on September 1998 - April 1999, Selection of villages was done purposively according to agro-ecology zone (highland, lowland, and coastal). The results showed that the level of Pb, Cd, and As serum in lowland were greater than others; and the level of Hg serum in lowland was the highest. Protein intake had a positive correlation with Cd serum, but not for Pb, Hg, and As serum. Hg serum had a negative correlation with vitamin C, Ca, Fe, and Zn intake; and As serum had a negative correlation with Zn intake. There was B negative correlation between As with Zn serum, Hg with Fe serum, and Hg with Zn serum. The positive correlation were found between Se with Cd serum and Hg with As serum. The serum status of Pb and Cd were normal (95% and 86.9% , respectively). About two-third of subjects (62.5%) in coastal area had As serum level categorized as high; and 56,3% subjects for Hg in lowland,en
