The aims of the research were: (1). to determine of the soil K nutritional status of pineapple, and (2) to determine of the critical level and optimum dosage of potassium fertilization for pineapple. The research was conducted using split plot randomized blocked design with five soil K status: Ksr = 0 kg K2O haˉ¹, Kr = 70 kg K2O haˉ¹, Km = 140 kg K2O haˉ¹, Kt = 210 kg K2O haˉ¹, and Kst = 280 kg K2O haˉ¹. While sub plot that dosage potassium fertilizer were consisted of five levels: K0 = 0 kg K2O haˉ¹, K1 = 200 kg K2O haˉ¹, K2 = 400 kg K2O haˉ¹, K3 = 600 kg K2O haˉ¹, and K4 = 800 kg K2O haˉ¹. The result of the research are souwed that plant growth and production of pineapple was affected by soil K nutrient content and dosage of K application. The level of soil K nutrient availability was low class (<14 ppm K2O), medium class (14-50 ppm K2O) , and high class (>50 ppm K2O). Potassium fertilizer recommend for the soil wich has low class was 634 kg K2O haˉ¹. The critical level of K in the pineapple "D" leafwas 1.71% of dry matter.en
