The objective of the research was to determinate effect using cultivation technique in growth, yield, and quality of ‘Pisang Tanduk’. The research was conducted on May 2010 until June 2011 in Kopo, Cisarua Bogor. Quality observation was conducted at Postharvest Laboratory Departement of Agronomy and Horticulture, FAPERTA IPB. The research was arranged into randomized block design with one factor. Factor used is cultivation technique. Treatment tested were conventional cultivation technique, production operational standard of banana monoculture and production operational standard of banana intercropping. There are three replicates for each treatment so that there are 9 units of the experiment. Each experimental unit consisted of five plants. Banana production operational standards that used were a modification of the production operational standard of ‘rajabulu’ Banana (PKBT, 2007). The results showed that cultivation techniques is significantly affected growth and production of banana. Implementation production operational standard of banana can increased optimum growing. An examination of bunch weight, hands weight and fruit weight found that they generally greatest in implementation production operational standard of banana. Cultivation techniques also significantly affected on the fruit length and diameter of banana. Chemical quality is not significantly affected by cultivation techniques except for total soluble solids.
