Selektivitas alat tangkap trawl berdasarkan tingkah laku serta morfologi ikan hasil tangkapan sampingan

Abstract

Trawl is an efective fishing gear in exploiting demersal fish resources. Discarded of bycatch from the trawl has became a concern worldwide because it has an impact on the environment and fishery resources. Selectivity of trawl needs to be done by considering the factors of fish behaviour, morphology of fish and size dimensions of the codend. All three of these factors will affect the process of escapement of fish in order to achieve technological improvement from trawl fishing gear.
