dc.description.abstractJarak pagar (Jatropha curcas L.) is a tropical plant which has potential to be developed as an energy resource alternative. Propagation of superior roveilances in this commodity is essential to strpport plant breeding program, which can be done by conventional or inconventional techniques (biotechnology). This research used biotechnology approach in terms of somatic embryos (proembryo) propagation by combination of plant growth regulator media containing atrxin (TDZa nd Picloram) and cytokinin (BAP and 2.4 D). The plant materials used were zygotic embryo and hypocoryls of Dompu accessions. Explants used were immature embryos derivedfiom fmits with 1-1.2 cm and 1.3-1.5 cm diameter, and hypocotyls. Proembryonic materials were obtained front several growth media containing picloram 0.1, 0.5 or 1.0 mg/L without TDZ, or 2 mg/L TDZ without picloram using early embryos of fruit 1.3-1.5 cm in diameter explants.en
