This research was conducted to evaluate the utilization of cocoa pods as a feedstuff for beef cattle. Five rations fed to the five beef cattle using Latin Square design. The treatments consisted of concentrate plus untreated cocoa pods (Rl), urea ammonia treated of cocoa pods (R2), silage of cocoa pods (R3), biofermented of cocoa pods using rumen content (R4) and biofermented of cocoa pods using P. chrysosporium (5). Result showed that protein digestibility in R2 and R5 were greater than the others (P<0.01). The pattern of nitrogen and energy retention was similar for steer offered R2 and R5 diets. This was reflected in a greater growth rate in steer. It was concluded that urea ammonia treated and biofermentation using P. chrysosporium of cocoa pods could improve the beef cattle performance.en
