Penapisan Ekstrak Daging Buah Picung (Pangium edule Reinw) Sebagai Insektisida Botani Terhadap Plutella xylostella.
Abstract
Plutella xylostella is the most damaging pest in cabbage production. This pest was controlled by synthetic insecticides. If this application was done continually with high spraying dose, it can generate negative impact to environment and human being To reduce synthetic insecticides usage, one of the efforts which is being developed is by using botanical insecticides Botanical insecticides are coming from compounds produced by plants. This research screens the possibility of using plants as botanical insecticides in pulp of picung {Pangium edule Reinw) Btoacti've compounds were extracted by maceration method usmg different solvents La, water, methanol, chloroform, and hexane. Extract from each solvents was tested to P. xytostetia The activity tests were mortality and antifeedant tests. From those tests methanol extract from the pulp showed the smallest LCsc value (9.24%). then the component were separated by preparative thin layer chromatography The preparative thin layer chromatography were done with eluent methancJxhlorolorm butanol (1:9:0 05) yielding 8 fractions. Component gained from chromatography step retested lo P. xyiosteHa at concentration of LC50. Fraction 4 showed the highest insecticides activity. Phytochemical test to fraction 4 showed the presence of alkaloid group. The ultraviolet spectrum of fraction 4 showed one maximum absorption at wavelength of 204.8 nm. The infrared spectrum indicated the presence stretching of: O-H, N-H, C¬O, C-N, C-H, and bending of N-H.
