The hatch characteristic of 'merawang' chicken's egg produced by different interval of artificial insemination

The aim of this research was to evaluate the characteristic of hatch egg of'Merawang' chicken produced by different interval of artificial insemination (Al). The methods were included of semen collection, semen dilution, and Al assembling. The semen were collcctcd from six males of Merawang chicken and diluted by 0.9% physiologic NaCI. The Al was implicated to 60 females of Merawang chicken at three treatments of AI interval : every four, seven and ten days. After treatments of Al, the eggs were collected lor 30 days, then incubated for 21 days. Parameters observed were fertility, hatehability, and :ome supporting data : egg weigltf, DOC weight, egg hygienic, the egg index (wide/length ratio) and viability of the new birds. The completely randomized design was used for the research with three treatments of collected eggs.The result showed that the Al interval of lour days was better (P<0.0l) than seven and ten clays for fertility and hatehability. Egg weight. DOC weight, egg hygienic, the egg index and viability of the birds were not significantly affected by the treatments. The four days AI is recommended for hatch egg of'Merawang' chicken.
