The objective of the experiment was to study the growth of three clones Javanese long pepper (Piper retrofractum Vahl.) from Madura, Lamongan and Lampung in the nursery. The experiment was conducted at Sawah Baru experimental station, Bogor from September 2008 to January 2009. The experiment was arranged in a Completely randomized bock design with three replications. The result of this experiment showed that growth components were significantly different after 14 weeks after planting (WAP), except on length and width of leaves. Plant growth was significantly correlated to pest and plant disease intensity. Piper retrofractum Vahl from Lampung had the best growth rate and resistance ton yellow disease (Nematode and Fusarium sp.) and foot root disease (Phytopthora palmivora) compared to that of Madura and Lamongan.en
