dc.description.abstract\\'ood characteristics and glue are the two main factors affecting gluability. This is one way of predicting gluing ability. The objective of the research were to identify : ( I ) wetability in corrected water absorption height of three structural timber species, showing a gluability indicator. (2) shear strength of glued wood. and (3) relation between the two mentioned factors. The wood species being studied in the research were Akasia (Acacia mangium, famili Leguminosae), Mindi (Melia azedarach L..famili Meliaceae), dan Sengon (Enterolobium syclocarpum, famili leguminoceae having a log of around 22 cm in diameter each. The first two species (Akasia and Mindi) were of 8 years. and sengon was of 1 years old plantation. Three kinds of glue were used consisting of Polyurethane (PI-3100) as \\'ater Based Polymer Isocyanate (WBPI). Epoxy (E\4'A-120), and P\.Ac (White Clue). The results indicated that the application of Polyurethane. Epoxy, and P\Ac produced the highest C\\'.AH and gluability shear strength in the species o f Mindi of the three species. Jlindi had the lowest density than two others. With the application of the three kind of glues on the Akasia, Xlindi. and Sengon, it was indicated that the higher the value of C\\'AH, the bigger the gluability shear strength without any treatment. and old water or hot water soaking treatment. There was a correlation between the CWAH values with shear strength of wood gluability.id
