dc.description.abstractTeluk Kendari has been polluted by several contaminates. This condition needs the development of territorial strategic management. The objectives of this research were 1) to detennine the contamination burden in the river estuary. 2) to calculate the assimilation capacity in Teluk Kendari territory, 3) to develop strategic management for Teluk Kandari. The status of Teluk Kendari terrifory has been polluted. It can be shown by the value of DO, NO3, PO4, TSS and Pb. The highest contamination was TSS (410259 tonne/month) and the lowest was NH3 (Q.0108 tonne/month). Assimilation capacity value of Nitrate ion was 0.98 tonne/month, phosphat Ion was 0.0188 tonne/month. TSS was 501532 tonne/month. These results showed that the parameter has exceeded the maximum assimilation capacity Of Teluk Kendari. Nevertheless, assimilation capacity value of BODs was 4579 tonne/month, COD was 48199 tonne/month and NH3 was 0.026 tonne/month. It means that those parameters haven't excetded the maximum assimilation capacity yet.id
