Pengaruh Komunikasi Keluarga, Lingkungan Teman dan sekolah terhadap Kenakalan Pelajar dan nilai Pelajaran pada Sekolah Menengah di Kota Bogor
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze the competition influence between parents and peer groups and also school environment toward adolescent's delinquency behaviors and academic achievements. The objectives of this study were: (1) To analyze the influence of communications between parents and adolescent and the relationships with friends and school toward adolescent's agresiveness and delinquency behaviors, and (2) to examine the influence of communications between parents and adolescent gild the relationships with friends ~d school toward academic achievements. The study was conducted in 2001"2003 at four technical high schools in Bogor. The samples used in this study were 550 students (173 from state school and 377 from private schools). The sampling method applied was simpl.:= random sampling among second graders. In general, the study found out that there were competitions between the parents' influence relative to peers' influence toward adolescent's behaviors with its own degree of influence. It was proved that parents and friends influence together in adolescent's delinquency behaviors and academic achievement. The study confirmed general hypothesis 1 that the high degree of relationships between adolescents and their troubled friends would influence the increased of adolescents' agresiveness and delinquency behaviors. The study also confirmed general hypothesis 2 that communications within family wouLd influence the decreased of adolescents' agresiveness and delinquency behaviors and the increased of the adolescents' academic achievements.
