dc.description.abstract | Application of silage technoiogy can guarantee the availability 01 feed and and may substitute antibiotic through the lactic acid bacterium (BAL) and organic acid contents. The aim of this research were to examine the effect of feeding silage on.the performance and depressing' the growth of bacteri Salmonella in small intestine of broiler challenged with Salmonella. completely randomized design with tujuh treatments and 3 replications were used. 168 broilers which are devided into 21 groups were given one of the seven kinds of ration i.e. S1 (silage ration), B1 (basal ration), L1(B1 + L. plantarum) , S2 (S1 + Salmonella typhimurium), 82 (B1 + Salmoaella typhimurium). L2 (L1 + Salmonella typhimutium) and A (B1 + antibiotic + Salmonella typhimurium). Data obtained were analysed with analysis of variance (ANOVA) and the orthogonal contrast test lor comparing differences 01 treatments. Silage products were very good in term 01 having low pH (4.28) and increasing nurnoer 01 lack acid bacteries (9.16 x 10B) . Silage ration could not give nagative influence to consumption, body weight gain, last body weight and ration convertion wich marked by there was not significant difference between silage ration and basal ration. It can be concluded silage ration can be used as aiternative commercial ration without influencing performance of broiler. | id |
