Pengaruh Pengapuran Pada Media Podsolik Merah Kuning Jasinga Terhadap Pertumbuhan Bibit Kakao (Theobrama Cacao L.)

Abstract

This experiment was carried out at Darmaga IV Research Station. IPB Bogor from December 1988 to June 1989, using DR-I cacao variety. The randomized block design was applied for 2 factors and 3 replications. The first factor was 4 rates of lime 0/0, 1, 2 and 3 times to exchangable-AI. The second factor was 4 differents growth media consisted of: topsoil + sand + cow dung mixed (2:1:1); subsoil only,' subsoil + sand mixed (3:1) and subsoil + sand + cow dung (2:1:1). The best seedling growth was obtained by the combination treatments of medium either top or sub soil mixed with sand and cow dung, and 1.40 -1.44 exch.-AI liming rates.
