Pot grown StyZosanthes guyanensis, fertilized with 10 ton manure/ha, 20 tons manure/ha, 0.296 tons urea/ha, 0.592 tons urea/ha and unfertilized (control), were pruned at 40 and 60 days intervals during 120 days experiment in the glass house. The cumulative production of dry matter were significantly affected by the fertilized treatment. Manure increased heigher cumulative production of dry matter than did urea. The growth and productivity of StyZosanthes guyanensis were also affected significantly by intervals of pruning. The 60 days pruning interval gave heigher cumulative dry matter production, root dry weight and vertical heigher of the plant than the shorter 40 days one.id
