The aims of the reseach were: (1). to determine of the soil K nutritional status of pineapple, and (2) to determine of the critical level and optimum dosage of potassium fertilization for pineapple. The research was conducted using split plot randomized blocked design with five soil K status: Ksr = 0 kg K2O ha-1, Kr = 70 kg K2O ha-1, Km = 140 kg K2O ha-1, Kt = 210 kg K2O ha-1, and Kst = 280 kg K2O ha-1. While sub plot that dosage potassium fertilizer were consisted of five levels: K0 = 0 kg K2O ha-1, K1 = 200 kg K2O ha-1, K2 = 400 kg K2O ha-1, K3 = 600 kg K2O ha-1, dan K4 = 800 kg K2O ha-1. The result of the research are souwed that plant growth and production of pineapple was affected by soil K nutrient content and dosage of K application. The level of soil K nutrient availability was low class (<14 ppm K2O), medium class (14-50 ppm K2O) , and high class (>50 ppm K2O). Potassium fertilizer recommend for the soil wich has low class was 634 kg K2O ha-1. The critical level of K in the pineapple “D” leaf was 1.71% of dry matter.id
