Uji In Vivo Saponin Tanaman Akar Kuning (Arcangelisia flava (L.) Merr) Sebagai Hepatoprotektor

Abstract

According to in vivo studies on secondary metabolites of albutra (akar kuning plant, Arcangelisia flava (L) Merr), saponins extract without alkaloids showed a hepatoprotector activity. The best extracting solvent was mixture of methanol :dichloromethane (2:1), followed by refluxing in a mixture of ethyl acetate:chloroform (1:1) medium, and precipitating in acetone. Yield of the glycoside was 7.4%. The glycoside fraction was able to inhibit 58% of the increasing aspartate transaminase activities and 52% of the increasing alanine transaminase activities in liver destruction of Sprague Dawley rat, caused by paracetamol
