dc.description.abstractCoconut fah)/ acid difiiiale (CFAD) was converted to emulsifier blends using a contious stirred tank reactor (CSTR). The reactor was operated at 55T, with 3 : 1 glycerol-CFAD volume ratio. Lipase from Rhizomucor meihei was used as biocatalyst. Relationship between power number and Reynold number at the reactor was expressed as : N, = 2,8804.N~e7.5~2f , and the optimum rotational speed of agifation was determined at 600 Ipm. Maximum yield of rnonoacylglycerol was reached at reactor space time approaching 6 hours. The cystal of reactor effuent contained 75,6% monoacylgiceroi, 18.7% diacylgycerol and 5.8% triacylgycerol based on the peak areas of chromatogram.id
