dc.description.abstractThe experiment was conducted in the Seed Science and Technology Laboratory, Bogor ~ g r i c u l t u r a lU niversity on 1984. Accelerated aging was conducted by the method of Sadjad, using the IPB 77-1 Rapid Aging Machine. The influence of Gibberellic Acid (0, 250, 500 p p ) , dipping periode of GA (0, 5, 10, 15 hours), a r t i f i c i a l aging (95 percent etanol vapor) and various interactions of these factors on the germination and 4-amylase enzym activity of "Harapan Baru" corn (@a maye L.) seeds were determined. Gibberellic Acid increased the activity of .C-amylase enzym on treated and untreated seed l o t s , although there is no significant different on germination. The activity of 4-amylase enzym is significantly influenced by the period of dipping, but the concentration of Gibberellic Acid did not affected.id
