dc.description.abstract | Multidimension approaches are required for formulation and implementation of watershed management policy. Along with development of World Wide Web technology, opportunity for web based watershed information system increases. Such information system will enable multi stakeholders to share relevant data through web and collaboratively participate on formulation and implementation of watershed management policy. Designated system enables data provider to register metadata to the portal and by using search function, user can locate and retrieve database distributed across multiple institutions. In addition, these mechanisms will minimize redundant effort on data collection. Functional requirement determination of the system were based on analysis of as-is system, organizational standard and watershed multiple stakeholder factor. Interaction of the system with users was depicted using use case diagram. To support interoperability of distributed access mechanism, open standard of Open Geospatial Consortium (OCC) web service was implemented. Distinct features of thesystems are: I) Sharing mechanism of distributed geospatial data using OGC web service, and 2) Overlay multi map layerson the fly without additional deployment of commercial CISsoftware. | id |
