      ジャワマメジカの舌乳頭の結合織芯を走査型電子顕微 鏡により観察し，他の動物と比較し若干の考察を行った． ジャワマメジカの糸状乳頭の結合織芯は，シロイワヤギ の結合織芯に似た形態を示した．有郭乳頭の細長い中央 乳頭には多くの小突起状の結合織芯が見られた．葉状乳 頭の結合織芯は乳頭の深い溝と隆起として見られた．一 般的に偶蹄目では葉状乳頭の発達は悪いか存在しない が，ジャワマメジカでは明確に見られた．
