The aim of this research was to asses the influences of cattle breeds and spenn concentrations in producing blastocyst. This research was conducted at The National Livestock Embryo Center, Cipelang, Bogor, from March to April 2000. Research material used in this experience were ovaries of PO and Brahman Cross cattles collected from a slaughter house, froZen semen CQllected from Brangus cattle with concentration of 12.5 x 1O' and 25 x 1O' and Angus cattle with concentration 25 x 1O' was obtained from The National Artificial Insemination Center, Lembang. Oocyst produced through aspiration was matured in a medium of TCM-199 + 5% Calf Serum (CS) + Antibiotic, then incubated at the temperature of 38,5OC and 2% COz for 20 hours. Spenn was capatitation in a medium BO suplemented with heparin and BSA. Fertilitation at the temperature of 38,5OC and 2% COz for 5 Hours, After fertilitation embrio cultured at the temperature of 38,5 DC and 5% COz in culture medium CR1aa + 5% CS + antibiotik. The final result of this research showed that differences of sire breed did not give influence to 2-4, ~ cell cleavage, total cleavage and blastocyst at eight day but gave significant influence (P<O,05) on the fonnation of blastocyst at sixth day, seventh day and total blastocyst. The difference of cow breed did not influence 2-4, ~5 cell cleavage, total cleavage, percentage of blastocyst formation at seventh day, eight day, and total blastocyst, but significantly influenced (P<O,ot) the blastocyst fonnation at sixth day. The increase of spenn concentration from 12.5 x 1O' to 25 x 1O' did not influence 2-4, ~ 5 cell cleavage and total cleavage, percentage of blastocyst fonnation at seventh and eight day and total blastocyst, but significantly influenced (P<O,OS) blastocyst formation at sixth day. Key words : Breeds, concentration, IVF, blastocyst.id
