dc.description.abstractOrchid is a big plant family, which spreads all over the world. Purwodadi Botanic at Garden concerns with the conservation of dry lowland plants, including orchid species. The orchid collections in Purwodadi Botanical Garden consist of 620 species. They were collected from many islands in Indonesia and other countries, 192 species of them are from East Java.Orchids of East Java need to be conserved since their habitat in the forest have been reduced This paper will discuss ex situ conservation of orchid collections at Purwodadi Botanic Garden.id
