Conservation of Nepenthes in Indonesian Botanic Gardens. Indonesian is known on its biodiversity richness. One of them is Nepenthes which has little attention on cultivication, use, or conservation. The existence of Nepenthes has been threatened by forest exploitation which is forest as natural habitat of the genus, though Indonesia is centre of Nepenthes distribution. From eighty species of the world, at least fifty species spread throughout Indonesia. Ex-situ concervation has been conducted by Indonesian Botanic Gardens as an important way to conserve germplasm resources and to avoid the extinction of the Nepenthes. The results of some species, conservation ways, and obstacjes on conservation are presented in this paper.id
