The objective of this experiment was to study the effect of fermented rumen liquid mulberry leaves extract utilization in mice feeds as animal model for post ruminal system. This experiment used a completely randomized design, with 6 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments were P0 (semi purified diet), P1 (P0 + fermented rumen liquid without mulberry leaves extract), P2 (P1 + mulberry leaves extract 0.06%), P3 (P1 + fermented mulberry leaves extract 0.06%), P4 (P1 + mulberry leaves extract 0.12%), and P5 (P1 + fermented mulberry leaves extract 0.12%). The experiment was conducted for 24 days with the adaptation periods during 3 days. Variables observed were feed consumption, feed digestibility, daily body weight gain and blood glucose. The data were analyzed by Analysis of Variance, and differences among treatments were examined with Duncan Multiple Range Test. The results showed that the addition of mulberry leaves extract significantly (P<0.01) decreased daily body weight gain, consumption, feed digestibility and blood glucose compared to control, but fermented mulberry leaf extract could reduce the negative effect of DNJ containing mulberry leaves extract, such as daily body weight gain wich was added mulberry leaves extract 0.06% with fermented and without fermented had 0.10 vs – 0.16 gram/day, the addition 0.12% have 0.01 vs – 0.14 gram/day. It is concluded that DNJ in mulberry leaves extract is not fully degraded in the rumen, so it still have negative effect to the variables measured.id
