Abstract
In today’s rapidly changing world, families are increasingly confronted with complex and interconnected pressures, ranging from economic instability and urbanization to digital transformation and shifting social values. These global megatrends are not only reshaping societies but also redefining the structure, roles, and resilience of families. In response to these challenges, the concept of the Family-Friendly Kampong emerges as a context-based social innovation. It emphasizes the central role of families as the foundation of social development, while promoting community environments that are supportive, inclusive, and sustainable. Family-friendly kampong is a social innovation of IPB as a form of academic work to increase academic contributions to the development of families and the wider community.
