      Abstract
      Trumon District is one of the districts in South Aceh Regency, Aceh Province, and is one of the areas with quite high biodiversity. The use of food crops and botanical pesticides in Trumon District is still undocumented and data related to plant use by the community is still very limited. In this case, research activities on the potential of food crops and botanical pesticides in Trumon District are urgently needed. This study aims to identify the potential of food crops and botanical pesticides in Trumon District, South Aceh Regency, Aceh Province. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the richness of food plant species and botanical pesticides in Trumon District is 44 species that can be grouped into 30 families, with details of food plants as many as 38 species and 25 families, while botanical pesticide plants as many as 6 species and 6 families. Judging from their uses, food plants in Trumon District can be divided into 12 types, namely fruits, food ingredients, food ingredients, sugar ingredients, llalapan, vegetables, cooking oil and margarine base ingredients, food flavorings, vinegar substitutes, flour raw materials, natural sweeteners as sugar substitutes, and vegetable oil producers. Based on their uses, plant pesticide plants in Trumon District can be divided into 4 types, namely natural herbicides, controlling plant pests, inhibiting the growth of the fungus Pyricularia oryzae, and repelling herbivores.
