dc.description.abstractRembang District is one of the districts in Purbalingga Regency that has a designated community forest area. This area has the potential to have high plant diversity with the existence of a community forest area. Rembang District is also an area in Purbalingga Regency that is located quite far from the city center, so that the community tends to utilize existing resources including dye plants and botanical pesticides. However, data regarding the use of dye plants and botanical pesticides by the community in Rembang District is still unknown, so this research needs to be done. This study aims to identify the potential of dye plants and botanical pesticides in Rembang District, Purbalingga Regency, Central Java Province. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the wealth of dye plants and botanical pesticides in Rembang District is 90 species that can be grouped into 45 families, with details of dye plants as many as 40 species and 28 families, while botanical pesticide plants as many as 63 species and 32 families. Parts of dye plants utilized by the community in Rembang District consist of roots, leaves, stems, flowers, fruits, seeds, bark, sugar, powder, rhizomes and tubers; seen from its use, the dye plants in Rembang District can be divided into 5 types, namely food and beverage dyes, food dyes, beverage dyes, textile dyes and hair dyes; and based on the type of color they produce, the dye plants in Rembang District can be divided into 8 types, namely blue, brown, green, black, yellow. Red, orange, and white. Parts of the plant pesticide plants used by the people in Rembang District consist of rice husk ash, roots, shells, stems, seeds, fruit, flowers, leaves, bran, bark, stems, sap, rhizomes, and tubers seen from its use, the plant pesticide plants in Rembang District can be divided into 11 types, namely fungicides, insecticides, herbicides, molluscicides, nematodes, non-toxic, nematodes, repellents, growth stimulants, fish poisons, and rodenticides.id
