Potensi Tumbuhan Pangan dan Aromatik di Kecamatan Sekincau, Kabupaten Lampung Barat, Provinsi Lampung
Abstract
Sekincau District is one of the districts in West Lampung Regency, Lampung Province, and is one of the regions
with quite high biodiversity. The utilization of food and aromatic plants in Sekincau District is still undocumented and
data related to plant utilization by the community is still very limited. In this regard, research activities on the potential
of food and aromatic plants in Sekincau District are needed. This study aims to identify the potential of food and aromatic
plants in Sekincau District, West Lampung Regency, Lampung Province. Based on the results of the study, it shows that
the richness of food and aromatic plant species in Sekincau District is 65 species that can be grouped into 34 families,
with details of food plants as many as 59 species and 30 families, while aromatic plants are 16 species and 13 families.
Viewed from their uses, food plants in Sekincau District can be divided into 8 types, namely food ingredients, food
ingredients, vegetables, sugar making ingredients, herbs and spices, fruits, cooking spices and rujak ingredients. Based
on their uses, aromatic plants in Sekincau District can be divided into 3 types, namely essential oils, food
fragrances/flavorings and aromatic plants.
