Potensi Tumbuhan Pangan dan Aromatik di Desa Makam Kecamatan Rembang, Kabupaten Purbalingga, Provinsi Jawa Tengah
Abstract
Makam Village, located in Rembang District, Purbalingga Regency, is an area with quite high biodiversity. The
utilization of food and aromatic plants in Makam Village is still undocumented and data related to plant utilization by
the community is still very limited. In this regard, research activities on the potential of food and aromatic plants in
Makam Village are needed. This study aims to identify the potential of food and aromatic plants in Makam Village,
Rembang District, Purbalingga Regency, Central Java Province. The richness of food and aromatic plant species in
Makam Village is 81 species that can be grouped into 39 families, with details of food plants as many as 69 species and
39 families, while aromatic plants as many as 24 species and 16 families. Viewed from their uses, food plants in Makam
Village can be divided into 9 types: food ingredients, food ingredients, vegetables, sugar ingredients, herbs and spices,
fruits, sweet ingredients, cooking spices and rujak ingredients. Based on their uses, aromatic plants in Makam Village
can be divided into 3 types, namely essential oils, food fragrances/flavorings and aromatic plants.
