      Pengaruh Zat Pengatur Tumbuh Gibberelin dan Sitokinin terhadap Perkecambahan Benih Gladiol (Gladiolus Hibridus)

      Abstract
      Salah satu kendala dalam produksi gladiol adalah masa dormansi umbi yang lama. Perlakuan perendaman menggunakan zat pengatur tumbuh dilakukan untuk memecah dormansi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mempelajari pengaruh beberapa konsentrasi ZPT sitokinin dan gibberelin terhadap perkecambahan benih gladiol. Percobaan menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) satu faktor dengan tiga ulangan yang terdiri atas 9 taraf kombinasi perlakuan, yaitu kontrol tanpa perendaman, kontrol dengan perendaman air, GA3 tunggal konsentrasi 25 ppm, GA3 tunggal konsentrasi 50 ppm, BAP tunggal konsentrasi 25 ppm, BAP tunggal konsentrasi 50 ppm dan 3 taraf kombinasi GA3 dan BAP. Hasil uji pengaruh hormon terhadap pematahan dormansi cormel gladiol tersebut menunjukan bahwa cormel gladiol yang dijadikan bahan percobaan tidak mengalami dormansi terbukti dengan tidak signifikannya antara perlakuan dengan kontrol. Perlakuan hormon tidak berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan tunas cormel gladiol, hal ini diduga hormon endogenous sudah cukup untuk mestimulir pemunculan tunas sehingga hormon eksogenous tidak berperan.       One of the obstacles in gladiolus production is the long dormancy period of the bulbs. Soaking treatment using growth regulators is carried out to break the dormancy. This study aims to study the effect of several concentrations of cytokinin PGR and gibberellin on the germination of gladiolus seeds. The experiment used a completely randomized design (CRD) with one factor and three replications consisting of 9 levels of treatment combinations, namely control without soaking, control with water soaking, single GA3 concentration of 25 ppm, single GA3 concentration of 50 ppm, single BAP concentration of 25 ppm, single BAP concentration of 50 ppm and 3 levels of GA3 and BAP combination. The results of the hormone effect test on the breaking of cormel gladiolus dormancy showed that the cormel gladiolus used as experimental material did not experience dormancy as evidenced by the insignificance between treatment and control. Hormone treatment had no effect on the growth of cormel gladiolus buds, this is thought to be because endogenous hormones were sufficient to stimulate bud emergence so that exogenous hormones did not play a role. The administration of hormones is thought to accelerate the appearance of root primordia.
