Abstract
Potensi besar minyak ikan, rninyak kelapa, dan minyak sawit yang dimiliki lndonesia belum dioptimdkan bila dipandang dari aspek gizinya. Salah satu aspek gizi yang berupa peranan jenis minyak yang dikonsumsi dalam pertumbuhan otak dan kemampuan belajar telah dipelajari dengan menggunakan tikus percobaan (Hatus rtorvegicus) di Laboratorium Hewan Percobaan Pusat Penelitian dan Pengembangan Gizi, Departemen Kesehatan RI, di Bogor, Laboratorium Kimia dan Biokimia PAU Pangan dan Gizi LPB, dan Laboratorium Kimia Pangan Iurusan TPG - Fateta IPB. The effect of consumption of different types of oil on the composition of patty acids in the brain and learning ability experiment rats (in Indonesia). The oils used were fish oil (FO). Fish oil concentrate proportion of 3:1 (OM[1]), 1:1 (OM[2]) and 1:3 (OM[3]). Each ration contained 5% (w/w) of the oil and was given everyday ad libitum during gestation period and lactation period until the weanling rats were 72 days old.
