This research was aimed to investigate the effect of dietary silkworm pupae meal (SPM) and garlic meal (GM) and its combinations on blood profiles, visceral organ weight, and carcass pecentage of broiler chicken. The experiment used Ross strain chicks in a Completely Randomized Design 3 x 2 factorial with 3 replications and 10 chicks for each replication. Factor A was SPM level substitute fishmeal (FM) in ration (0%, 25%, and 50%), factor B was GM level in ration (0% and 2.5%). The treatments were: P0 = control diet, containing FM without GM; P1 = control diet+2.5% GM; P2 = ration with 25% SPM without GM; P3 = ration with 25% SPM+2.5% GM; P4 = ration with 50% SPM without GM; and P5 = ration with 50% SPM+2.5% GM. There were no negative effect in blood profiles, carcass and visceral organ yield affected by treatments. Silkworm pupae meal can replace 50% of fish meal utilization and could be applied as an alternative protein source in broiler ration.
