      Abstract
The aims of this study was to determine the association between nutritional status (H/A) and health status and also between nutritional status (H/A) and academic achievement of student in 4th, 5th, and 6th grade in Sukamakmur Village, Bogor district. The design was a cross sectional study with 76 subjects, consisting of 38 normal subjects and 38 stunting subjects. The result showed that average subject’s height; subject’s nutritional status (H/A); mother’s height; family income; nutritional adequacy level (energy and nutrients); and health status (frequency and period of illness) in stunting subjects were significantly lower than normal subjects (p < 0.1). There was a significant correlation between mother’s education and nutritional adequacy level (energy and protein); family income and nutritional adequacy level (energy, protein, iron, vitamin A, vitamin C, and zinc); household size and nutritional adequacy level (energy, protein, vitamin A, vitamin C, and zinc); mother’s height and nutritional status (H/A) and also nutritional adequacy level (energy and nutrients) and nutritional status (H/A); and also nutritional status (H/A) and health status (frequency and period of illness). viii Therefore, subjects with higher nutritional status (H/A) tend to have better health status (lower frequency and period of illness).
