Perbaikan Teknik Produksi dan Analisis Kelayakan Finansial Usaha Produksi Minyak Akar Wangi (Vetiveria zizanoides) di Kampung Legok Pulus Kabupaten Garut

Abstract

Vetiveria zizanoides commonly known as vetiver is a kind of essential oil that has large marketing opportunities. Haji Ede home industry is one of the vetiver root oil producers that located in Kampung Legok Pulus, Garut. The purpose of this research is to formulate the improvement of production method and to analyze the financial feasibility of vetiver root oil production. The suggested improvement were formulated on the process of harvesting, drying, and distillation. With 10-year investment value of Rp 200,000,000, investment of complement tools each year amounting to Rp 429,000, fixed costs of Rp 27,188,000/year, the variable cost of Rp 1,996,457,500/year, the unit cost of producing oil vetiver is Rp 766,600/kg. The BEP 2,530 kg/year. As the selling price is Rp. 800,000/kg, the profit obtained by UKM vetiver oil refinery is Rp. 88,176,000/year. The NPV of Rp 213,508,492, Net B/C of 3.27, Gross B/C 1.02, IRR 36.17%, and payback period for the past 2 years and 6 months indicate that the business is financially feasible.
