Streptococcus agalactiae is a common causative agent for Streptococcosis in tilapia. The purpose of this research was to evaluate the efficacy of Curcuma xanthorrhiza Roxb. simplicia feed supplementation tilapia immune systems against the S. agalactiae infection. This research applied different dosages of C. xanthorrhiza Roxb. ie 25; 50; and 200 gr/kg feed. The control treatment was fed only by commercial feed without C. xanthorrhiza Roxb. After that, the fish were challenged with pathogenic cells at concentration of 4.0 x 109 CFU/ml. Supplementation of dietary treatments did not result significant (P>0.05) effect on the survival rate compared to positive control. Treatment of 50 gr/kg feed and 200 gr/kg feed improved the immune systems of tilapia especially on lysozyme before challange test (597 UI/ml/minute and 717 UI/ml/minute) and after challenge test (671 UI/ml/minute and 1488 UI/ml/minute). The C. xanthorrhiza Roxb. feed supplementation decreased the specific growth rate in treatment 25; 50; and 200 gr/kg feed (0.29%, 0.53%, and 1.57%) compared with control but increased the feed convertion ratio (0.01, 0.04, and 0.15) respectively.
