Pengaruh Pemberian Sinbiotik terhadap Kinerja Produksi Udang Vaname Litopenaeus vannamei di Tambak Pinang Gading, Bakauheni, Lampung
Abstract
Synbiotic applications on a laboratory scale had been performed and was able to improve survival rate, growth and immune response against multiple pathogens. The purpose of this research was to test the effects of synbiotic administration on production performance of white shrimp reared in shrimp ponds on field scale. Vibrio alginolyticus SKT-b bacterium and oligosaccharides extracted from sweet potato were used as probiotic and prebiotic. White shrimp that has been reared for 25 days after stocking was reared in shrimp pond 16 (2500 m2), pond 17 (3100 m2), pond 18 (4100 m2) and pond 19 (3600 m2) in stocking density of 72 shrimps/m2. This research consisted of two treatments with two replications: K treatment (without synbiotic administration) and P treatment (administration of 1% probiotic and 2% prebiotic). The results showed that synbiotic administration was able to improve the survival rate, daily growth rate, feed conversion ratio and immune response of white shrimp.
