Pola Asuh Makan, Konsumsi Pangan dan Status Gizi Balita Rumah Tangga Miskin di Kecamatan Cadasari, Kabupaten Pandeglang

Abstract

The objective of this study was analyze the relationship between eating pattern, food consumption and nutritional status of children from poor households. This study used cross sectional study design with 83 children under five years old as subject. Study was conducted in Cadasari and two subdistrict were selected in February to March 2014. Descriptive analysis showed that eating pattern of mothers (57%) categorized as medium. Dietary diversity score of subject categorized as medium. The level of suffeciency of energy as many as 89%, while the level of suffeciency of protein as many as 97%. Nutritional status of subject 88% categorized as normal and 12% were underweight. The Spearman test showed that educational status with nutrition knowledge of mothers had significant correlation (p<0.05), the test also showed that income had significant correlation with dietary diversity score (p<0.05). The Chi-Square test showed a positive correlation between nutrition knowledge and eating pattern (p<0.05), the test also showed that income had positive correlation with protein sufficiency (p<0.05). The study showed that parenting had significantly affect to the nutritional status of children with odd ratio 1.20.
