Abstract

In the free trade, the quality of Indonesian products had improved. To improve the quality of the product required human resource planning. Job analysis is a form of human resource planning. The research was conducted in Karo District, North Sumatra. According to data from the Central Statistics Agency Karo (2011), the agricultural sector plays an important role in the economy Karo. The role of agriculture sector to GDP Karo district in 2011 was 60.94% for the current price. The purpose of this study is (1) Identification of the duties and obligations of workers related supply chain activities highland vegetable commodities (2) develop an effective job analysis that can be implemented by the stakeholders. The analysis showed that farmers, collectors and exporters already working quite well. However, it remains to be improved. Design work that needs to be improved is (1) to add regarding the rights and obligations of farmers, collectors and exporters. It is necessary to help the sustainability of the supply chain. (2) the role of government and gapoktan should be improved to reduce the abuses that may be the problems that may arise can be avoided.
