Unbalanced condition of local soybean production and consumption causes the increasing dependence through import soybean. The alternative to overcome this problem is to utilize another vegetable protein source as soybean substitution is needed. One of those protein is the komak nut toward ACE. The obstruction activity of komak nut hydrolyzate was analyzed in vitro involving three treatments, they were hydrolyzates of whole grain of komak tempeh, hydrolyzates of unpride komak tempeh, and hydrolyzates of steamed komak tempeh. Soybean analysis was also done due to compare the obstruction activity toward ACE with the same analysis done for komak nut. The result showed that unpride komak tempeh was more potential as ACE inhibitor compared to soybean. The IC50 value of unpride komak tempeh and soybean were 0.64 mg/g and 1.69 mg/g.
