Abstract

Performance is one measure of success of an organization, including the small and medium enterprise clusters crafts. Human capital and social capital have a strategic role in improving the performance of SME. The purpose of this study is (1) To identify the problems faced by SME craft clusters in the city of Bogor, (2) analyze the interest rate comparisons with the performance achieved handicraft SME Bogor, (3) Analyze the influence of human capital and social capital to performance of SME craft cluster in Bogor, (4) analyzing the main indicators of the design model of SME performance improvement craft cluster, and (5) analyze factors driving and inhibiting of efforts to improve the performance of SME clusters crafts in Bogor. The study states that the main problem lies in the stagnation in the growth of the SME category of human resources. At the next stage the main objective of SME will be summarized in the House Model. Managerial implications of this study combines the factors driving and inhibiting factors to build a model of SME performance improvement
