      Abstract
Knowledge management system is knowledge that learning how knowledge collected, stored, managed and disseminated. For an organization or enterprise, knowledge is an important resource. Those,well-organized knowledge established in order to provide value-added for enterprise or organization performance improvement. Through knowledge management, knowledgesfrom organization would be identified, resources of the organization would be known, existing knowledge could be re-used, accelerate the process of creating new knowledge from existing knowledge, and maintain the organization stability due to human resourceshifting. Besides, the existing organization knowledge would not disappear because it is not stored as a tacit knowledge, and everyone couldutilize the knowledge to create standard procedures even though the people who has the tacit knowlede are not in a place. One of the most important commodities that should be developed in Indonesia is soybean. This is because the soybean demand continues to increase along with the food industry development. Food products such as tofu, tempeh and soy sauce require large enough amount to supply its sustainability. Recently, Indonesia has not been able to maintain the soybeans demands, so imports must be done. One of the threats in an attempt to achieve self-sufficiency soybeans are a nuisance pest. There are 111 species of soybean pests that been recorded. Therefore, have a comprehensive documentation knowledge about soybean pest control technology-that is easily accessible-is a major issue in order to reduce losses due to pests. This research methodology adapted from life cyle knowledge management system that consists of several stages. The stages are knowledge management system evaluation, teamforming, knowledgecapturing, blueprintsdesigning, systemdeveloping, andsystem applications testing process. Result of the soybean pest knowledge management system development could be used as a means to capture, collect, store, preserve and disseminate knowledge. Hopefully with this system, farmers could obtain more information about soybean pests that applied in the soybean cultivation. Furthermore, the system could assist trainers and experts to introduce the soybean pests and their control technology to the farmers, so that farmers could reduce the losses when planting soybeans.
